Located on 360 Huntington Avenue, Snell library is located at the center of Northeastern University's campus. It is the go-to place for many students whether to borrow books or study for an exam.
The Snell library building opened in 1990 by The Architect's Collaborative, a Cambridge-based firm. The library comprises a collection of: 490,812 printed books (titles), 1,080,981 ebooks, 154,114 licensed e-journals and 126,844 streaming audio and video as of June 2020. Open 24/7, there are staffs available to answer any quests and provide resources and services. The library has four floors with each floor having a different activity zone:
Students can utilize each floor space to their preference whether to study quietly on the upper floors or have conversations with friends while doing homework on the lower floors.
The library is full of life at any time of day, especially during the exam season. There is open space for everyone to sit down and work diligently. Students can also take advantage of resources and services within the library space.
